I approach mental health with the perspective that all parts of a person impacts the lens through which they view the world. I enjoy pulling from a variety of treatment modalities but do not necessarily use one specific approach and my clients will be interested in doing the same, along with examining how their lifestyle & behavior may connect to their mental health. I understand how nutrition, life stressors, life experiences, and personal values all inform mental health symptoms. I would be a good fit for someone who wants to explore their true self and work on therapy goals between sessions.
With a strong background in trauma-informed care, I approach every client with this lens. I am trained in ERP, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, yoga, and other evidence-based treatment modalities, though I do not subscribe to the belief that any of these are "one size fits all". I work within these frameworks to provide tailored care for each unique client.
I have spent most of my career in schools and in homes, providing therapy to students and their families in Baltimore City. I loved working through the unique challenges brought forth by each client and learned countless lessons about how trauma impacts the lives of every person I meet. I now use those lessons to provide telehealth therapy to clients.
