A healthy sense of humor is just as much a bridge to another soul as it is a shield against the unbearable. My clients often laugh as much as they cry or express anger, and I think that's important in the business of connecting and healing. What do you want to heal? Is there something about a relationship with a loved one that feels frustrating, uncomfortable, or unsafe? Do you need a non-judgmental space to help you figure out what you want or who you are?
I treat adults struggling with anxiety, people-pleasing, addictions, and low self-esteem - all painful experiences which I believe stem from our attachment histories. I explore family systems and dynamics in my clients' past and present relationships. Generally the feedback I get is that I am nurturing, direct, and effective.
Much of healing is about distinguishing between what's really happening in your life now verses what you perceive to be happening based on the past. This is hard, brave work and I will do my best to support you in it. I speak Spanish and have a certified therapy dog, Botero. For a consultation, message me here or through my website.
