As a therapist with over 30 years experience, I focus my practice on life transitions such as divorce, grief/loss, retirement, medical issues, ageism, "empty nest" syndrome and moving. I also assist in helping clients, couples and families struggling with relationships and/or addictions. Once thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are validated, discussed, re-structured, and re-directed, an opportunity for positive transformation, for better physical and emotional health, and for a wonderful quality of life will result.
I believe our emotional and physical well-being begins with our thoughts. How we think then leads to how we feel to how we behave. Therefore, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a primary intervention. I am also a proponent of the strengths perspective since I believe we all have strengths that will offer a solid foundation for growth.
