Welcome to my practice! For over ten years I have worked as a licensed counselor, with experience in addictions, family violence, at-risk adolescents, and working with the HIV/AIDS population. I have specific training in Cognitive-Behavioral, Rational Emotive Behavioral, and Solution-Focused Brief therapies. These therapies have been shown through research to be effective in treating depression, anxiety, addictions, and other mental health diagnoses. I also like to incorporate relaxation, mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques, and art therapy techniques in my work with clients.
I received my Bachelor's in Psychology from Texas Lutheran in 2000, and my Master's in Counseling from St. Mary's in 2004. I've been licensed as a National Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor since 2006. I'm also a board-approved supervisor for counselor interns.
I provide counseling in a comfortable and confidential office setting, with evening availability to respect your school or work commitments. I take a variety of insurance plans as well as private pay arrangements. I look forward to working with you!
