As a fully certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist, and a Level 2 EFT Individual Therapist Joseph's approach is rooted in Attachment Theory. Joseph assists his clients to become fully aware of unrecognized, unshared, connective primary emotions and reactive, disconnecting secondary emotions. He helps couples, men, and women cultivate greater awareness and acceptance of emotion. With empathic support he will help you develop the ability to communicate primary and secondary emotion in powerful ways that will foster increased intimacy with partners, spouses, and others.
Trained in conflict resolution and cooperative divorce skills he is experienced in helping individuals foster better communication through High End Goal setting which foster working guidelines for co-parenting, finances and personal interactions. Joseph assists divorcing parents construct working templates for temporary parenting plans. He maintains an active referral base of divorce mediators and attorneys.
Joseph actively works in men's personal development taking an emotional focus to anger management. He has been an active member of the Mankind Project since 2002. He co-founded and led Hold Me Tight Seattle, a couples workshop based on EFT principals. In March of 2014 in passed on leadership of HMTS to Dennis and KIm Eames.
