I believe in client feedback for setting goals and evaluating whether therapy is working for them. It's not my goals or "success rate" that is important but what the client experiences. I value working with clients who know what a 'better life' will look like, will work on getting there, and will provide feedback about progress or resistence. Of course I'm there to provide help when stuck but I value clients to provide their feedback and be engaged in the therapeutic process.

I work with many "sexual addiction" clients. The term "sexual addictions" while popular in general media is not scientifically validated. I prefer to use "Out of Control Sexual Behavior" as it is sex-positive while trying to correct the behavior. Sex is meant to be pleasurable and enjoyed, not pathologized. Many "sexual" problems aren't actually about sex.

I enjoy short term solution focused work and depth psychology, exploring deeper issues. I want clients to let me know if they want brief, long term, or intermittent work. I am also a Board Certified - TeleMental Health (BC-TMH) provider, meaning I have training to provide quality, ethical therapy by video or phone. You may find it better than face-to-face.
