Not everyone needs a therapist, but everyone needs someone they can speak to openly and honestly without judgment. Unfortunately, not everyone has someone like this in their life that they can trust completely. Problems are only as big as our ability or inability to deal with them. By instilling confidence in one's self, learning to draw boundaries with others, and creating goals, I believe that each person can develop the skills they need to help themselves. My goal is to simply help each individual develop and cultivate these skills in order to make the changes they desire to see in their own lives.
As a graduate of Liberty University, I believe spirituality is important in therapy, but this means spirituality in the way the client defines it, not based on a therapist's definition. Also, as a former Sergeant and Chaplain's Assistant in the United States' Army, I enjoy supporting and providing services to veterans and their families.
Therapy should not last a lifetime. It should be targeted sessions focused on finding solutions to life's problems. My goal is to help clients develop quick strategies to improve the outcome of their relationships and to help them reach their own definition of their greatest self.
