Many of the people I work with are unsatisfied or struggling in key areas of their lives. They are challenged by unfulfilling relationships with co-workers, romantic partners, dating, friends, or family members. The difficulties they face can tend to feel familiar; patterns they have not yet been able to fully understand or find their way out of on their own. Many patterns are formed by relationships in our early lives, therefore it takes a healing and generative relationship to make real change. I also work with individuals and couples who are facing the major life transition of becoming parents.

I enjoy building a unique and close working-relationship with each of my clients. Together we work to develop a new path forward by understanding the many facets within them: the desires they have to expand themselves and their lives, and the parts where they get stuck and held back by experiences such as depression, anxiety, insecurity, trauma and pain.

People describe my style as both warm and direct, and that I create a space where it's easier to talk about difficult things. I work with individual adults, couples, and groups in Berkeley, CA. I work with people both in person and on zoom.

Therapy groups are powerful catalysts for insight and growth, sometimes even more so than the traditional 1:1 therapy dyad. During sessions the group works to put their thoughts and feelings into words, sharing as vulnerably and honestly as possible. Participating in both a supportive and brave space, group members have a unique opportunity to better understand themselves, their relational patterns, better understand others, as well as experiment with new ways of relating.

This group is designed to help single people better understand themselves in order to date with confidence and clarity. The more you know about yourself, your priorities and your needs as well as what gets in your way, the better you will be at cultivating intimacy and partnership in your life. This is a co-ed group for single people of all sexual orientations, in their 30’s and 40’s and who are actively dating or thinking about dating and who are currently in individual therapy or who have had significant therapy in the recent past.
