My approach with clients is to remain person-centered and provide a safe place to address mental health needs. I use a trauma-informed approach for many of my clients because I am keenly aware that past events often influence the choices we make today. If you are experiencing traumatic stress, grief, or addiction, the methods I use can help alleviate the stress and anxiety that occur with these issues. My work also includes treating traumatic stress with first responders and military veterans using bi-lateral stimulation techniques found in EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy. I'm a licensed LPC and LISAC with the AZBBHE.
I specialize in addictions and trauma-stress (PTSD) using conventional and emerging methods. I also treat unresolved grief and mood disorders. Couples, families, and individuals affected by trauma or addiction are encouraged to seek treatment for the stress caused by these issues.
My journey to counseling includes challenges that have helped to create empathy for those suffering from addiction and other mental health issues. I am also aware of the strain that mental health issues can place on relationships and want to help those who have been affected.
