Is life "LIFING"? Feel like you are in an exhausting pattern of being misunderstood, overused, undervalued, and overwhelmed? Intrusive negative thoughts and limiting beliefs keeping you up at night? Fear of failure causes self-doubt or perfectionism? Ready to make a change but not sure where and how to start? I'm Jenn and at The SHIFT Mental Wellness, PLLC, I partner with Black women to transform a life narrative of frustration and dissatisfaction to one of confidence, stability and joy. At The SHIFT, you will learn how to rest and relax, reimagine and regain control of your life, and realize and rock as your dope, authentic self!
Yes, I'm a therapist, but I'm a Black woman first. In my practice I'm attuned to the issues that uniquely impact Black women such as anxiety, chronic stress, generational trauma, race-based stress, "Strong Black Woman" syndrome and perfectionism. I provide a safe and accepting space for you to relax and learn to focus on YOU!
Joy and a healthy life is your birthright. The choice to participate in the therapeutic process is an act of self-love and self-care and I am honored to be a supportive partner on our journey of wellness, healing and transformation! Don't delay your transformation any longer, make the SHIFT from surviving to thriving and schedule your free consultation.

Groups
OYA Support & Encouragement Circle
The OYA Support and Empowerment Circle is more than a therapeutic group. It is a supportive community and judgment-free space cultivated for women of the African Diaspora to share common (and uncommon) and heal as a sisterhood and feel empowered. The community is a space for you to be free to work on yourself, learn from your sisters, and know that you are not alone. The virtual group is facilitated by a qualified mental health provider to ensure you receive any additional support needed.
