Grief is the price we pay for loving deeply and having to let go. It can result from the death of a loved one, end of a relationship, or the loss of a job, home or former identity. Grief can feel simultaneously empty, yet heavy. It can cause confusion of how to go on living a "normal" life. It can also feel like no one else could possibly understand. After a decade of working alongside individuals who were dying, providing counseling to care givers and loved ones, I understand the significant pain and trauma of grieving. I also know how to help in healing and restoring hope.
I'll offer you a place to share what you are going through without risk of judgement for how you feel or the burden of contending with others' awkward responses. You'll get to just be you, with all the hard, complicated feelings that come along with grief. My promise to you is to bring an open heart, open mind and even the chance find laughter once again.
