Are you struggling with body image and feel like you have an internal battle that no one can see? Do you sometimes feel like you are "stuck" emotionally and need help to keep moving forward. It is difficult to feel seen and understood when struggling with an eating disorder and when struggling with the pain of past traumas. My work with eating disorders and body image is conducted through a Health at Every Size (HAES) lens that provides a safe growing environment to heal.
I have trauma informed training in different areas; such as, specialized training to help those struggling with Eating disorders, individuals who have experienced a traumatic event, and I like to provide a safe and inclusive environment. Additionally, I use approaches such as EMDR, TFCBT, DBT, ACT, CBT, parts work, and art therapy.
I truly believe everyone deserves to receive help for their mental health concerns. I want clients to feel included and welcomed when coming to therapy. Therapy needs to be someone's safe place to explore and heal. I am very passionate about taking an active role in spreading eating disorder awareness and promoting more body inclusivity.
