As an experienced sports coach as well, I know the power of setting goals and breaking them down into small, manageable steps in a safe and supportive environment. My therapy and coaching work continually influence one another in beneficial ways as I help my clients stay positive and focused while achieving their goals.
I do a good deal of work with men and women (15 and older) who have had traumatic childhood experiences of physical and sexual abuse. Many women find that working with a safe, compassionate, male therapist, particularly when their abuser was a man, is an important part of their healing process.
