We feel pain in many ways; worry, anger, confusion, and sadness. Our past has taught us how to respond to these feelings. Problems start when what we've learned no longer works to get us relief. Our first goal is to learn why you act and feel the way you do. That awareness is fundamental, but awareness doesn’t bring change, it brings choice. From there I help you move toward choices that get you what you want. I focus on emotions because they communicate something we can’t yet speak. My approach is appropriate for anyone trying to make changes in their life. Most people come see me because of anxiety, depression, difficulty with motivation, relationship conflict, and life transitions. My areas of expertise are in sexuality, gender identity, and spirituality & faith. I also have significant experience with treating disordered eating.
