Counseling can be an adventure in self-discovery, a place to clarify your thoughts and get a fresh perspective about your life. I will help you develop insight into yourself, your life, your relationships and, also, if desired, help you identify specific changes that will bring you a higher quality of life. The better you know yourself, the easier it is to know what you want in life. Finding your own voice and having the confidence to express it is one of the foundational pieces in developing a rich experience in life, and an essential tool in relating to others.
One of my goals as a therapist is to offer you a safe place. I have spent over 25 years treating clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, divorce, and many other issues. I find that when processed in a safe environment, life's greatest challenges can deepen perspective and give you greater wisdom.
If you have OHP, I especially encourage you to contact me. I know that it can be especially hard to find a good fit with a Counselor and I have a strong interest in being a good fit for you. As your therapist, I will try to help you with emotional struggles, but also try to address your socio-economic issues.
