Your needs and concerns are as unique as a therapist's style and specialty. I blend evidence-based, person-centered approaches with holistic skills, such as mindfulness and anxiety tools, to guide you toward self-healing. I lean into DBT skills, with an emphasis on radical acceptance. I specialize in working with the neuro-divergent, the quirky, nerdy, brilliant, introverted, ADHD, Autism, and socially-different humans. Additionally, I work with the caretakers of children with all forms of disabilities to help them overcome everyday challenges, navigate the school system, special education, and life transitions.
I help parents find their new reality in the land of special-needs parenting when they had thought they were booking a ticket to neuro-typical parenthood. With neuro-differences, we may also find anxiety, depression, shame, loneliness, and coping struggles. I address these challenges through DBT skills, family history, and CBT.
In addition to special needs, I also enjoy working with women who are navigating life changes, such as becoming mothers, divorce, empty-nesters, and career/life balance. Additionally, in the future I will be offering Hippotherapy, and recognize the importance of both emotional support animals and therapy dogs in the work of healing and recovery.
