As a gay, trans man, I know what it is like to struggle to find a therapist who understands your experience. Therapy is a collaborative endeavor and I am here to support you in your growth. Whatever it may be that brings you to therapy, I can offer a warm, safe, and engaging space for you to explore what is getting in the way. I am interested in cultivating your awareness to allow you to uncover patterns that no longer serve you.
My approach is, above all else, trauma informed. I spent a year offering crisis counseling to LGBTQIA+ and HIV-affected survivors of violence, and continue to work with people who have experienced different forms of trauma. My work is additionally influenced by Gestalt therapy.
I am in my third year of a four-year clinical fellowship at the Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy, where I am undergoing rigorous training. Gestalt is a holistic, person-centered, and relational approach to therapy. I will orient you to the present while addressing any unfinished business of the past.
