Life can be difficult for children and their parents. I have experience in both clinical and school settings working with children who experience anxiety, low self-esteem, peer issues, behavior issues, and adjustment to life events. Parent collaboration is essential to a child's growth and success in therapy, because you know your child best! I enjoy working with parents on creating structure, building a positive relationship with their child, and facilitating change.
Children do not process experiences in the same way that adults do; they play! Therefore, use a prescriptive play therapy approach in my work with younger clients. I offer Parent Child Interaction Therapy, individual sessions, school consultation, and parent consultations while providing compassionate and honest support.
Making the decision to seek out therapy can feel daunting.
