Counseling is not just for those experiencing a life crisis or a current difficulty. Counseling is an opportunity to learn new skills, gain new insights, and position oneself for increased health and wellness. My style is a “hodgepodge”, meaning it depends on what a person needs in that moment. One day we may learn coping skills and the next, we may be identifying how personality characteristics contribute to protecting your sense of self. Mind, body, and spirit impact each other, which can also be described as a holistic approach. We will not just look at what you think and feel, but your lifestyle, environment, & relationships.
I have specialized experience and ongoing training in PTSD/ trauma, infertility/ family planning, mood disorders, and ADHD. I have worked in inpatient facilities, community organizations, and private practice. My clients describe me as open, flexible, insightful, relatable, and kind.
I think of myself as more easy going, you can find me in a t-shirt and jeans, but that doesn’t mean I can’t be firm and forthright, when needed. I offer both in person and telehealth appointments.
