My clients come to therapy struggling to understand themselves and their partner, leaving them feeling hallow, lost, and alone. They desperately want to feel secure in themselves and connected to their partner, but are confused and wary about how to begin changing. As a therapist, I meet this dilemma with warmth and compassion, as well as knowledge and confidence; this combination is the base of successful therapy. My similar life experiences make me genuine and relatable, and my training background from the top marriage and therapy program and ongoing advanced training support and guide our work.
Some of the challenging, yet worthwhile steps we'll take involve: exploring your past, learning to confidently communicate feelings, decreasing reliance on protective defenses, developing self-love and compassion, and noticing and celebrating your growth. I'm flexible and honor how cultural, spiritual, sexual, and gender identities shape the therapy process.
By the end of therapy, you'll feel connected to your partner, secure with yourself, and move through life with peace and authenticity. It would be an honor to help you get relief from the pain in your relationship and shape it into the source of joy and support you need. I also work with couples on an individual basis if your partner is unwilling to attend.
