Most of us were taught that gender is binary, but thankfully we know that is not true! Gender is fluid, a spectrum that encompasses identities such as gender non-conforming, genderqueer, & agender. Individuals within the trans & non-binary community grapple with the fear of embracing their authentic selves, contending with societal & familial pressures. However, we now find ourselves in a time where concealing our trans and non-binary identities is unsustainable. Everyone exploring their gender identity deserves a safe, empathetic space to navigate the impacts of gender-phobia & the aftermath it leaves behind. Trans is beautiful!
With a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, my journey of support for the trans and non-binary communities has included roles at the Colors LGBTQ Youth Counseling Center, Pride Recovery LA, and Westwind Recovery. I am part of a private practice at Gender Wellness of Los Angeles, specializing in issues related to gender diversity.
Having struggled myself to embrace my trans identity, I have come out the other side happier & more prosperous than ever before. The first step is often the hardest.
