I help people whose sense of themselves or prior life experiences has blocked their ability to access the power they have within to heal and get what they want out of life. My experience includes extensive work in the areas of work/career, sexuality, intimacy, sexual identity and recovery. In addition, I help people work through trauma, grief and illness. My clients include individual adult men and women, couples and families --gay, straight and transgender.
My major goal is to help people feel more comfortable in their own skin and for them to have a whole new satisfying, and integrated sense of themselves, and their role in the world. Various issues impact on people's ability to move forward. I help people remove these barriers.
With a Masters in Social Work from NYU, I have been a practicing psychotherapist for over 13 years. I trained at the Metropolitan Institute for Training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and have worked in a variety of settings in outpatient mental health. Prior to becoming a therapist I worked in medical and scientific publishing.
