I am based in NYC. I was trained in rational-emotive behavior therapy and work with clients primarily from that perspective, with mindfulness techniques. The focus of my practice is on working with individuals who have been diagnosed with a chronic or catastrophic health condition, as well as their caregivers. I specialize in working with adults who have received a medical diagnosis and their caregivers. This includes coping with the emotional reactions, making treatment decisions, work and career challenges, and communicating with partners and healthcare professionals. .
I have written extensively in healthcare-related publications, including a regular column in HIV Plus magazine. I am completing a supplementary textboook for nursing students, "After the Diagnosis: How Patients React and How to Help them Cope." I also authored "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Zen Living."
