Welcome! My name is Francesca Dorvilas and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New York. I have worked with individuals, families, and couples for over 10 years in areas of parenting, anger management, stress management, relationships, depression, trauma, ADHD and anxiety. Are you seeking to improve your relationships, manage your anger/stress/fears, or simply find healing? Treatment modalities that I use are Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Response Prevention and Psychotherapy.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered which includes being direct, empowering, open-minded, and non-judgemental. I support my clients on their journey towards self-discovery and healing. My commitment is to support my clients to gain awareness, clarity, coping skills, and new strategies needed in a safe space to grow into the best version of themselves.
Showing up for yourself takes courage and you have taken the first step. I am currently accepting new clients via Telehealth. Insurances I accept are Aetna, Cigna, and Anthem to name a few.
