My driving philosophy when working with couples is a quote by Sue Johnson: "Suffering is inevitable. Suffering alone is intolerable". Using evidenced-based practices, such as The Gottman Method and EFT, I assist couples to increase their emotional and physical intimacy, and decrease feelings of loneliness or resentment. My joy, however, is providing a safe, affirming space for exploring gender and/or sexual orientation, navigating the complexities of non-monogamy, and exploration of kink.
Play is universally the first language used by children to communicate long before verbal language skills. With this in mind, I utilizing skills from play therapy, in combination with training in sex therapy, to provide guidance for couples to ignite their sex lives with renewed passion and excitement.
I am a divorced parent of five children, both biological and adopted, all of whom are LGBTQIA and/or neurodivergent. I can relate to the challenges you may be experiencing.
