I offer an empathic and nurturing approach to treatment in which my patients can feel understood and unconditionally accepted. I seek to provide a warm and collaborative environment where we can explore together the circumstances, thoughts and feelings that are creating difficulty in your life. My work often involves helping patients develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the way past relationships and events may be affecting them in the present. I aim to help them access and learn to rely on their own inner wisdom and courage, and to foster their development of self-compassion and healthy coping skills.
While insight is essential to the therapeutic process, I want to help my patients take positive steps to enact change in their lives. My goal is to graduate patients from therapy with the confidence and self-reliance that will enable them to lead richer, more joy-filled lives.
I work with children, adolescents and adults. Clinically, I specialize in helping people who suffer from anxiety, depression, identity and self-esteem issues, disordered eating, body-image concerns, relationship problems and longstanding psychological issues.
