My primary focus is helping you build the fulfilling life that you want to live. Together, we will work towards identifying what you want to change, and what has been blocking you from making changes, which may include a harsh "inner critic." I strive to build safety and trust in our relationship by creating a warm space where you can express yourself freely and learn to connect in a deeper way. I have over 25 years of experience helping clients heal from anxiety, depression, grief, low self esteem, trauma, including PTSD and relational trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and self destructive tendencies. We will work towards understanding how the challenges you are experiencing impact you, and how you can heal most effectively.
I am influenced by trauma recovery theory, relational psychodynamic/psychoanalytic perspectives, DBT, AEDP, art therapy and sensorimotor therapy. I also teach mindfulness and use guided meditation to help you learn how to attain a more peaceful mind. I help clients find ways to enhance creativity to increase their overall abilities for self expression.
