I am a seasoned, virtual, private pay, pay what you can therapist. I graduated from the MFT program at Portland State University where I was trained in strategies and interventions that focus on you and the systems around you. I believe we develop our relationship strategies and our sense of self at a young age in ways that are adaptive to the world, and people, around us. Often times, we bring these old adaptive patterns to our adult relationships even when they are no longer serving us. I can help you to recognize and change these old relationship patterns, including your relationship with yourself, that no longer serve you.
I use parts work, differentiation, attachment, existential concepts, systems strategies and narrative therapy. I do not take insurance because I do not want insurance companies to drive any part of our work together, including having to diagnose you (or one of you in relationship therapy) to support you. I have a set rate and use the pay what you can model.
I went from working at a large group practice in Oregon supporting clients with a variety of mental health needs to working in an Emergency Department with individuals experiencing mental health crises in NC along with my private practice.
