Couple's therapy is a passion of mine, as relationships strike at the core who we are and how we learn about ourselves. Anytime we're triggered by our partner, despite being painful, it's a road map to what we still need to heal. As we navigate life's stages, our relationships ALWAYS change, and eventually, we can feel out of sync. Sometimes, we just need someone to help sort things out; upgrade our communication skills, or help us rebuild trust and intimacy. Someone to help us feel safe, understood, and nurtured (and not judged or stigmatized).
Most clients describe me as extremely down-to-earth & genuine. Over the years, I've learned to be much more myself; both in how I show concern, as well as how I speak with clients. Therapy works best as a collaborative effort, with everyone engaging as authentically as they can... and that includes the therapist.
Trained in multiple modalities (Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems, etc.) I utilize different approaches for different clients. I don't believe in a "one size fits all" method; and instead, try to find what works best for each client (including when each partner in a couple has varying concerns).
