New clients welcome! I work with both individuals and couples. Areas of individual focus include coping with depression/anxiety, sleep issues, family or relationship struggles, addiction and recovery, life and career transitions, sexuality, mid-life issues, and emerging adults struggling with academics or early adulthood issues. In my work with couples I work on issues ranging from communication/conflict, intimacy, life transitions, rebuilding connection, family dynamics, non-traditional relationships, and relational betrayals/infidelity. Therapists that I draw from include the Gottmans, Esther Perel, and Mark Epstein among others.
I have the privilege of working with a wide array of clients, presenting concerns, age groups, and demographics. As a therapist I feel this keeps me engaged in a full range of clinic work and “the human experience.” I see therapy as a relational encounter through the active engagement of both the therapist and the client working collaboratively together.
As a therapist I seek to work collaboratively with you in a safe, nonjudgmental setting to explore ideas and alternative outcomes. Some of the things that help me relate to clients as a therapist are having had a broad range of career and life experiences to draw on, being compassionate and caring, and fundamentally believing in the good of all people.
