For many people, meeting with a counselor for the first time can be an awkward experience; I try to make the process more comfortable. My office is a safe place for you to unload your burdens, to hear an objective perspective about your concerns. My purpose as a counselor is to meet you where you are, help you discover healthy coping skills, and to lead you toward hope and healing. Whether your issues are personal or relational, I will listen with an empathetic ear, non-judgmentally, guiding you toward the change you are seeking.
I work with tweens, teens, and adults to help them cope during difficult life transitions. Whether everyday challenges or overwhelming events, I provide therapy to individuals, couples, siblings, or parents. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, sensitive to trauma's effect on individuals and families and trained in various techniques.
My previous experience in teaching and school counseling helps me relate to young people and assist them in overcoming obstacles they may face while in school and drives me to educate my clients regarding techniques that they can then practice at home. In addition, I have personal experience with loss and have compassion for those who are grieving.
