Whatever your goals might be, being in therapy forever is likely not one of them! As an experienced therapist, with a directive and compassionate style, we will work together so that you can get the most out of your time in therapy. I view my clients as individuals and not a number or a diagnosis, each with a unique set of circumstances and challenges. Using an evidence based foundation, I tailor my approach to these specific needs and identities. I enjoy working with individuals who are ready to move past trauma, grief, mood disorders or relationship issues in a collaborative and pragmatic process.
In a judgement free environment, with true empathy and unconditional positive regard, I work from an integrative and practical perspective, striving for both immediate, as well as lasting changes. We will identify helpful tools for the short-term and dig deeper with a psychodynamic and trauma informed approach, including parts work or EMDR when appropriate.
Furthermore, while these are serious topics, I believe a little humor can be a useful tool along the way. With this, I understand the importance of fostering the therapeutic relationship and look forward to connecting with each of my clients. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out for a free initial consultation!
