I have found that disruptions in our lives carry on in our nervous systems, sometimes arising at inopportune times. Often, it is in these times we seek support; whether dealing with the loss of a loved one, a sudden traumatic event, the onset of anxiety or a reliance on alcohol or medications. I will create an environment that encourages reflection, honesty, and compassion to help you find growth, self-reliance and an eventual return to health. I will work with you to get through the most challenging times with courage and boundless growth.
I frame my work around compassion and understanding, however we will build the capacity to lean into discomfort together and strengthen your resilience. Treating the nervous system in a psychosomatic approach allows me the opportunity to integrate mind and body solutions.
As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I bring a deeper awareness and insight into the functioning of our nervous systems. Disruptions in our system can relate to problems, including anxiety, depression and substance abuse. I graduated from CSULA's School of Social Work and am a primary therapist at Visions adolescent treatment center in Malibu.
