Perhaps, the secret to navigating life is understanding, and accepting, that life is inherently difficult. Even so, navigating those difficulties is not always so simple. As a socially conscious and strength-based clinician, I believe therapy is best approached collaboratively, looking at personal experience within cultural context. We each hold strength and wisdom to find our way through difficult and even traumatic experiences, especially with the healing power of relationship as support. Therapy can be a wonderful place to work towards deeper self understanding that translates into greater fulfillment within our lives.
A New York based psychologist. I have worked across various populations with a wide range of presenting concerns in clinics, college counseling centers and hospitals. Multiculturalism has been at the center of my training and research. Having also lived in several states across the US myself, I approach my work with flexibility and ongoing adaptation.
Coming from an eclectic orientation, I work from a psychodynamic and relational frame, and together we tailor culturally relevant therapy to address your needs.
