Aloha! I believe therapy is transformation. We enter therapy because we want something in our lives to change. Often that change begins with changing our relationship with ourselves. How we talk to ourselves, think about ourselves, treat and understand ourselves. I work to help you deepen your compassion for yourself, deepen your respect for traumas you have survived and grow your awareness of your unique gifts, strengths and purpose. I'm also passionate about assisting mental health counselors and marriage family therapists reach licensure and offer online group supervision/individual supervision to post-grad therapists.
I've been counseling for 20+ years and love my work. I'm licensed MFT in Hawaii and CA and trained in EMDR. I specialize with teens and adults, particularly healing trauma and treating anxiety. Although I do provide online sessions as needed, I prefer to work in person. I work exclusively with individuals and families living on Maui or nearby islands.
Online clinical group supervision is starting June 7th. I accept several insurances: UHA/Quest, HMSA PPO/Quest, Aloha Care/Quest. If you have another insurance carrier, we can discuss private pay and sliding scale options. My focus is to make sure therapy is effective and helpful in supporting your goals.
