Negative beliefs about ourselves can keep us trapped in our bodies and minds, and when our inner critic is at the helm, we can go down spirals that seem to cement our beliefs of not being good enough, lovable enough, successful enough, etc. You may logically know these harsh thoughts are untrue, but if there is a disconnect between mind (I know this isn’t true) and body (but it feels like it is), you are not alone- and there are steps you can take to find harmony between mind, body, and soul. As your trauma-informed therapist, I would be honored to be your guide for this integration process.
As your guide, I would bring research-based therapeutic treatments to the journey including EMDR (one of the leading trauma therapies), ERP (gold standard for OCD), CBT/ACT (talk therapies for anxiety, depression, etc.) and more. However, the deepest well of wisdom in the room will be your own body, and together we can unearth the reserve within.
