Sometimes communicating your feelings to others can be frustrating, scary, or completely different than how you truly feel. There are also times when feelings can be too confusing to try to convey to others. Just like adults, children and adolescents often have difficulty communicating challenging feelings and experiences and that is okay! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned of my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and Master’s of Science in Counseling Psychology degrees from Alabama A&M University.
I specialize in working with individuals who seek support for mood and behavioral challenges, social skills, anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD/ADD, and adjustment. I find Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Art Therapy as efficacious approaches to use to aid individuals through navigating life’s challenges.
My dream has always been to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, connect them to available resources in their community to ensure a bright present and future. Over the span of 6 years, I have enjoyed helping children, adolescents, and adults of all ages reach their personal goals.
