If you want to be happier and healthier but feel stuck trying to get there on your own, I can help. If the burdens of caring for others are getting heavy, I can help you lighten the load. My mission is to use evidence-based techniques to help you achieve healing and growth. We will identify your problem areas and strengths, then target the priorities that matter to you the most. Getting better may involve confronting painful memories or situations you've been avoiding, but please know that I'll help you through that at the right pace. Your hard work will pay off as you reclaim areas of your life.
My primary focus is first responders and their family members; I do see others as well. Most of what I do comes from cognitive-behavioral therapy, a straightforward type of talking therapy with no "mystery". I'm trained in specific, effective techniques for trauma, insomnia, depression, and anxiety.
With the turmoil over the last few years, even the strongest of us can get knocked back a step. Taking on the responsibility to heal and recover is a noble thing to do, for yourself and for the people around you. If what you read here strikes a chord, reach out to me and let's talk.
