I have a warm, sensitive, and interactive approach, creating a rich discussion about what brings you to therapy. Talking and feeling understood increase self-awareness. I emphatically believe that having a place in your life where you can say all your feelings and thoughts is very important. Then, you can learn about the choices you've been making, and work on deciding what you want to continue, and what you want to do differently.
I believe that people suffering with worry, isolation, anger, painful histories, and other feelings, can struggle to shape positive relationships. Often, they feel self-critical for having these feelings, so it's a double dose of suffering. Knowing, accepting, tolerating and reaching beyond these experiences is a worthy goal of therapeutic change.
I have extensive experience with addictions and eating disorders, and I value talking with people about these struggles.
