Becoming a mother, whether for the first time or again, can be a difficult change that can often lead to unwanted anxious thoughts, depression, and self-doubt. You may worry about getting it “right” or feel overwhelmed. Before you were a mother, you had another identity and may be trying to get back to yourself. Some moms struggle to bond with baby, but you can learn to nurture a trusting attachment. Becoming pregnant and giving birth can be a powerful experience and you may want to feel more prepared or process a traumatic birth. You deserve support and skills to ease the unique challenges and vulnerable moments in this journey.
Getting showered, dressed, and out the door on time can feel impossible when you’re sleep deprived, low on energy, or struggling with complicated feelings. Let me offer a bit of simplicity and meet you where you are in the comfort of your own home. Others may benefit from getting out and are welcome in the Little Blue House office – a home away from home.
In our work together, you will learn how to be kinder with yourself while facing the unique challenges of motherhood. It's ok to redefine success right now. We will begin each evening with a calming and centering ritual, listen to the inspiring words of Jessie Klein's audiobook: “I'll Show Myself Out, Essays on Midlife & Motherhood”, followed by conversation and connection. The group will meet on a monthly basis and is open to mothers at least 1 year postpartum. The women who have previously participated have found it to be a meaningful, empowering, and entertaining experience.

Whether pregnant, postpartum, or becoming a mother again, you will learn skills to build resilience, increase confidence, and feel more empowered in your parenting journey. With a focus on the mental load, selfcare, and defining new standards of success, we will share and discuss common experiences of motherhood, as well as those that interfere with finding fulfillment, including perfectionism, high expectations, and comparison tendencies.
