I specialize in treating unhealed childhood and adult trauma. My initial focus is on stabilizing mood and symptoms before beginning treatment to heal past painful experiences (military trauma, violence, sexual violation, abuse, neglect, and grief and loss). I strive to help guide clients through healing from trauma, loss, mood instability, and/or low self-esteem.
I am trained in EMDR (EMDRIA), Flash Technique, DBT, CBT, grief, and mindfulness modalities. I have expertise in trauma, abuse, and deprivation.
The overarching goal for therapy is for clients to reduce distress (anxiety, depression, anger, hopelessness), gain insight, and find meaning in one's life, for a more confident and hope-filled focus on the present and future.
