Solution-Focused Therapy (SFBT) is a brief therapeutic process meaning that sessions will take as long as needed, but not one more than necessary. Many therapies home in on the problem while offering few solutions. SFBT centers on a client's strengths/successes to help them acheive a preferred future.
Therapy is often stigmatized or advertised as being a service for the mentally unwell. However, I believe that therapy is for the mentally well and strong. It takes a great deal of strength to recognize that you want your life to be different. And it takes a great deal of courage to take the next step to change.
