Change can be really hard, and make us feel we've lost our footing. I often support individuals, athletes, and the outdoor community in times of transition. Endings like injury/accident, job loss, death, divorce, moving, or even reaching a goal...and Beginnings like marriage, a new baby, new job, or entering a new life era can be accompanied by stress, fear, anxiety, grief, and grasping. Transitions are often catalysts for clarity, where old concepts of self are expanded, and new goals are created. I work with clients to process these rich times to cultivate greater self awareness, self trust, and integration with what matters most.
My clients often say "running/skiing/pedaling/hiking is my therapy." Me too :) I'm here to help when you're wanting to add new tools to the toolbox, develop a gear that isn't so achievement driven, or carve out a place to process. I'm collaborative and often pull from existential theory, mindfulness, self-compassion, CBT, nature, and health psychology.
