Hey, Ash here. I founded Tobin Counseling to offer therapy centering your lived experience. I’m a queer / trans / non-binary therapist for individual adults exploring identity, experiencing grief, or healing from trauma. Other areas of specialization include sexuality, gender, faith deconstruction, anxiety, and depression. I also offer referrals letters for gender-affirming care. I may be the right therapist for you if you want to cultivate a deeper understanding of yourself, appreciate a relational style of therapy, and are motivated to make change.
My theoretical orientation is relational, psychodynamic, and interpersonal - these words simply mean I focus on who you are, where you've been, and who you are becoming in relation to yourself and others. I also provide consultation services to therapists looking to launch or grow their practices as well as LLPC supervision.
I advocate for my clients and aim to help them understand that their feelings are real, their needs are important, and that change is possible.
