I work with individuals and couples encountering anxiety, depression, and/or a personal crises that leads to needing an outside perspective to a better understand how to move forward and create positive change in yourself, work and relationships. Losing a loved one including a partner, family member, or a beloved pet can become overwhelming in keeping a positive perspective in life's goals and mission. I also work with individuals who have awakened and brought out new or hidden parts of the self which can initially feel overwhelming in defining your personal, family, and work identity.
I've been trained in a variety of psychotherapy models. Learning how thoughts and beliefs influence feelings and outlook is well researched and helpful making positive changes. I help explore initial attractions and past family experiences that influence struggles in finding or in living with the one that you love.
My training in Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT) at UCLA has been very effective with individuals and couples in understanding how initial attractions can later become obstacles in making commitments, growing apart, sexuality and other crises. IBCT has been very effective in my work with ethnic, Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual individuals.
