I believe that every person possesses a self-correcting impulse but, can only access this given the right circumstances. I will offer a safe & nurturing space to reconnect with this part of you. My goal in therapy is to help you gain personal insight and self mastery as well as self-compassion so that you may learn to overcome difficult or overwhelming feelings. As we work together, I will support and guide you toward confidence and independence.
I am a mental health counselor with 12 years of experience treating adults and adolescents. My interpersonal style is warm and direct, and I often utilize humor, music, and art in my therapy. I enjoy my work very much and look forward to collaborating with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, and interpersonal difficulties.
I am an active proponent of the mind-body connection and use this often in my therapy. My practice orientation is eclectic and focused on compassionate self-management. I utilize elements of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Attachment theory, and Gestalt Therapy.
