Grieving the death of a loved one leaves us feeling out of control, overexerted, and disconnected from ourselves, others, and the world as we knew it. Although grief is full of uncertainty, one thing is clear: it will change you. Perhaps what once felt like manageable stress is now blossoming into sleepless nights, overthinking, and increasing fear. Maybe you’re becoming frustrated by others’ responses or feeling like a burden to those around you. You might be beginning to tuck away the truth about your loss because it’s too much, too dark, too upsetting. But you can’t forget what happened, you don’t have a way to escape it.
Clients come to me looking for a therapist who can handle the truth about their loss and help them make sense of what has happened. Therapy should be a place where you feel seen, validated, and listened to. Sessions with me go at your pace and are fully intended to serve you. Together, we make space for you to mourn your person: honestly, deeply, and fully.
As an experienced grief therapist, I believe you have a right to anything you may feel or experience following the loss of a loved one. Although I cannot remove your pain, there may be things we can do to reduce the suffering, beginning with no longer going at it alone. Call or email for a free 20-minute consultation. I would be honored to meet you here.
