Someone told a joke but you missed it. On the outside, you smile, and maybe even laugh at the joke you didn't hear. But on the inside you feel tense, uneasy, and just want to leave. You try to refocus on the conversation, but now you can’t stop thinking about what you said. “That was stupid. Why did I say that?” “They probably think I'm an idiot.” Maybe you notice your heart pounding or realize you feel short of breath. By the time you finally leave, you feel overstimulated and completely drained. With thoughts that never seem to stop, and emotions that take over your body, you just want some peace . . . Why is that so hard?
Mindfulness based therapy with me can help if you’re navigating a new life transition, or managing anxiety, depression, low self esteem, ADHD, or OCD. I offer a warm and safe space to develop new thought patterns and strengthen coping skills so you can communicate in healthier ways, improve your relationships, and give your mind and body a break!
When we explore your experiences and emotions, you will feel heard, understood, and respected. We will work on things that are important to you for your personal growth and wellness. Call or email for a free consultation to answer your questions and chat about things like what to expect during sessions, my therapeutic approach, billing, etc.

I use different therapy modalities depending on your specific needs and goals. If you're working to manage anxiety or depression, we may start with a more structured approach (like CBT), to explore the significance of thoughts on emotions and behaviors. But generally, I use person centered and strength based modalities for a compassionate, humanistic, and eclectic approach to therapy.
