I am a Certified EMDR therapist and trauma specialist, with a special focus on religious trauma. As such, I help individuals struggling with depression, fears, numbing, panic attacks, feeling overwhelmed at times, shame, hopelessness, loss of interest in life, or irritability. I am gentle, listen attentively and plan a course of treatment with you. I offer understanding so that you will feel heard.
Therapy is a partnership. I listen and offer techniques. You use those techniques and we discuss what works and what doesn't work. Without this partnership, there will be little hope of recovery, healing, or progress. Therapy is work. It's the willingness to work together that brings about change.
