Hello! My name is Amber Pierce. I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, and adolescent adjustment. I am passionate about creating a warm and safe environment for my clients to experience change and healing. When we are working together, I meet my clients where they are with the goals that they have in mind to approach goals in the way that fits them best. Some of the approaches I pull from include cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and person-centered therapy. I also use tools like art, expressive writing, and mindfulness when fitting.
I believe in an evidence-based, holistic approach that considers total wellbeing, which is why I have received special training in integrative health for mental disorders. I have also received specialized training in trauma-informed counseling to address underlying and core issues that often feed into daily life.
It is very important to me that all my clients experience therapy that is non-judgmental, respectful, and based on compassion. I work with individuals from a wide range of cultural, spiritual and religious backgrounds. For clients who are looking for a faith-based approach to counseling, I provide Christian counseling upon request.
